Sandra Burke received her Accounting Degree from the Business School at Indiana University. Her influence from her talented Grandma inspired her to pursue her passion for painting.
She has enjoyed learning to paint with oils from Penny Roberson and joined Cy Donnelly to teach the Adult Oil Classes at The Art Studio of Carmel where she currently has her studio space.
She has been very fortunate to enjoy the beauty of Deb Slack’s art through her friendship, classes and workshops and has enjoyed learning and painting with her fellow fine art friend Lisa Macha and others as a part of her artist community.
Sandy is blessed with a wonderful husband, two incredible children, and loving sisters, family and friends who have always supported her new art career.
She loves painting many different styles, using brushes and palette knives, but her favorite love of all is her attempt to bring happiness to others, through her art.
Deb Slack, Indiana University grad, is a wife and mother of three, former social worker and currently working as a full time artist. She exhibits at Art on Main in downtown Carmel. About us...Founded in 2013
We are retired Art teachers who have loved teaching art classes to all ages. After talking and dreaming of starting our own art school...over many lunches, vacations and good times together, we decided to: "Just Do It!" and started our own Art Studio for children and adults, students of all ages.
Between us we have over 125+ years of experience! We hope you will find a class that piques your interest or a series of classes that will enrich your Artful Heart and/or that of your child or an "arty kid" that you know such a grandchild or nephew....
For those of you who Home School the students in your life, think of us as four licensed Art Educators, waiting to design a special art curriculum to fit your particular needs for your students.
Look over our class offerings and consider signing up. Classes are $30.00 per class and generally run two hours in duration. If you don't see a class that you want, please call us and we can design one to fit. We are open for business and Growing Artful Hearts!
